The London Project to Cure Blindness aims to prevent blindness, restore sight and ultimately improve quality of life for Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) patients within 5 years from the initiation of the research programme. By replacing the diseased support cells at the back of the eye affected in AMD with human stem cells we aim to repair and regenerate the diseased eye, thereby giving patients back the gift of sight.
